Milan Boss Allegri Still Seething Over Disallowed Muntari Goal

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is still hurting over the disallowed Sulley Muntari goal in their 1-1 draw with Juventus. The Ghana internationals feeble header which would have given the Rosseneri a 2-0 advantage in last months Serie-A clash was mistakenly adjudged not to have crossed the goal line. Television replays however showed the whole circumference of the ball had gone way beyond the line before goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon made a catch. And with Juventus currently leading the Italian top flight with three points, Allegri believes the disallowed goal could prove crucial in the title race with just four matches to go. I believe the referees have been doing well this season. There is only one incident that has really affected the title race and thats the Muntari goal, he said. If Juventus win the title by three points, as it stands now, that single incident will have been decisive. Milan are looking to successfully defend the Scudetto they won last season which if achieved will be the 19th time they will be winning the Italian Championship.
