StanChart To Open Six Ultramodern Branches

Standard Chartered Bank Ghana is set to expand its operations this year with the opening of six new branches. According to the Chief Executive Officer, Kweku Bedu-Addo, the planned expansion is presently on the drawing board. He told XYZ BUSINESS his outfit will roll out modern branches that will raise the standard of banking in the country. He these will be �new modern branches in the truest sense; not just any branch, but something that really raises the standards in Ghana.� Meanwhile, Shareholders of Standard Chartered Bank Ghana will, from October this year, enjoy some bonus shares. For every one existing share, shareholders will be entitled to an additional five shares. This was disclosed at the annual general meeting of the bank yesterday. Executive Director in charge of Finance, Sanjay Rughani, says his outfit was committed to meeting the regulatory requirement in issuing the bonus shares.
