NDC Govt Using ICC Petition To Divert Attention Karbo

The National Youth Organiser of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Anthony Abayifa Karbo, has rubbished attempts made by the Ghana Coalition for the International Criminal Court to incriminate him and two other senior members of the NPP. The coalition has petitioned the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate comments made by the Member of Parliament for Assin North, Kennedy Agyapong together with Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey, Karbo and Sammy Awuku. But Karbo in an interview with Citi News claimed the move formed part of governments attempt to divert the attention of Ghanaians from its mismanagement of the economy. This is part of a grand strategy laid out by the NDC to create a mental picture in the eyes of people that the NPP and its actors are seeking to foment some trouble in this country and create that picture to the international community; that is why they will go the most absurd levels to instigate and put out a thing like this, he said. I think is more important for us to discuss the issues about the fall in the cedi and the threatening nature of that and how that is affecting economic activities in our country, those will be more important issues for us, the national youth organiser said.
