Zongos Fall For NPP

ABDUL AZIZ Abubakar Gado, member of the Western Regional Communications Team of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has told DAILY GUIDE many Zongo communities have vowed to vote for the party because of its excellent relations with Muslims. He noted that most of the elderly including some prominent Mallams, Alhajis, Hajias and an overwhelming majority of youth in Zongo communities in the region have realized the dirty tricks the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) played on them during the 2008 general election. He explained that the NDC propagandists drummed into the ears of the elderly and youth in the Zongos that the NPP would re-enact the Aliens Compliance Order and consequently drive them out of the country if it won the 2008 elections, which worked to perfection. He added that the NDC also sent the message that the NPP was an Ashanti party that would not seek the welfare of Zongo communities, but the NDC had reneged on its promise of offering good education to Muslim children. Gado, an NPP firebrand in the Effia-Kwesimintsim constituency noted the Zongo communities have now realized the NDC had made a fool of them by constantly choosing non-Muslim running mates. Some Zongo youth who accompanied Gado said the NDC would be shown the red card on December 7. Muslims are very discerning and will welcome NDC politicians anytime they call on them but in reality the NDC will never get our votes this time round. The NDC as a party thinks they can always choose flag bearers and running mates who are Christians. The umbrella party will smell pepper this time round, Gado emphasized. He said the Zongo communities have now understood that the NPP has an all-inclusive agenda and also has a principle of balance in choosing a Christian and Muslim as presidential and running mate during general elections, contrary to the wicked agenda of the NDC. Gado concluded that Ghanaians would definitely vote the NDC out in the upcoming general elections in that the ruling government has performed abysmally since it came to power adding President Mills could not even fulfill half of the numerous promises he gave and will be booted out soon.
