The Progressive People�s Party (PPP) is angry at leading member of the CPP, Prof. Agyemang Badu Akosa for, as they put it, "harassing and attacking" the flagbearer of the PPP, Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum.
The PPP in a statement noted that ever since Dr. Ndoum exited the CPP, leading members of the party have made it an agenda to tarnish his image.
General Secretary of the PPP, Kofi Siaw Asamoah told XYZ News, the PPP will take on any one who attacks Dr. Ndoum unprovoked.
�When Dr. Nduom was in the CPP, a lot was said about his attitude, his character, his contribution, his commitment and all sorts of [issues]. Leading members of that party described Dr. Nduom in some words that I cannot repeat.�
He said the CPP should not delude themselves into thinking that the PPP is in competition with them. Mr. Siaw stated that �if you (CPP members) have succeeded in getting the mole out of your party, you should be singing praises. Why do you come after us all the time?�
He said this is part of the attempt by the CPP to continuously tarnish the reputation of Dr. Nduom, cautioning that such orchestrations will not see the light of day.
Meanwhile Professor Agyemang Badu Akosa has told XYZ News, he only reacts to the provocative actions of Dr. Ndoum.
He said his comments about Dr. Nduom were merely a reaction to questions about his views on the former CPP flagbearer. He expressed surprise at the fact that people within the PPP want to take him on for expressing his views, because �these are people who rely on him even for the breath that they take and for the food they eat.�
