The Paramount Chief of Kade, Nana Osabarima Agyare II has denied mounting a political platform to campaign for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo who recently toured the Eastern region.
A picture alleged to be that of Nana Osabarima Agyare II clad in NPP colours has been splashed all over social media site Facebook as well as published by some Newspapers.
Ghana�s constitution bars Chiefs from engaging in partisan politics.
Speaking to XYZ News Nana Osabarima Agyare II said he is not the one captured in the alleged picture.
"It is not me, I don�t know anything about it, I had the news this morning and called the editor of that Newspaper" Nana Osabarima Agyare II said.
He added �I am the Chief of Kade, I went with my people after we were invited and my message was that they [politicians] should base their talks on governance but not politics of insults that is all I said�.
