Popular Ghanaian actress and movie producer Luckie Lawson and her movie crew were on board the Accra-bound Antrak airplane that nearly caught fire while airborne Tuesday morning. Other passengers aboard the flight included Dr. Abu Sakara, the flagbearer of the Convention People�s Party (CPP) and the Majority Leader, Hon Cletus Avoka. The 40 or so passengers were quickly evacuated and the airline has since not commented on the incident. Speaking to NEWS-ONE after the accident, the actress vented her spleen on officials of Antrak Air in Tamale following what she described as an unfair clientele treatment meted out to her. Luckie was so vexed she threatened to vandalise a few things just to catch the attention of the airline�s management. She also took to some social networks to complain vehemently about services by the aircraft management and the way they treated her. �Here we are at the airport since 6:30 am. Antrak Air had a problem, so now we have to wait for the next flight. I�m mad at the fact that I have to pay extra money for camera and the crew members. Now they (Antrak Officials) want me to pay extra just to get on the next flight. When we called one Nana, the sales manager, he said there was nothing they could do about it. The actress was returning from Wa, the capital of the Upper West Region of Ghana, where she went to shoot a movie with her crew, before the incident took place. After boarding Antrak Air in Tamale Tuesday morning to return to Accra, the aircraft developed an alleged engine fault, which caused passengers to disembark for the next flight. Somehow, other passengers were given a flight, leaving Luckie and her crew behind. She was allegedly asked to pay extra to get on board the next available flight, which she refused. The actress and her crew were left stranded. Her business deals of the day were messed up. She would also have to pay extra for the cameras she went to rent for the shoot, according to source. NEWS-ONE contacted Luckie at about 6:00pm and she told the paper that she managed to pay extra before she flew back to Accra. She was really disappointed because she felt she was badly treated since she was not the cause of the aircraft fault.
