NPP Calls For IPAC Meeting...

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is calling on the Electoral Commission to immediately organise an Inter Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting to discuss and address the numerous challenges that came up during the just ended biometric registration exercise. According to the leadership of the main opposition party, although the EC ensured the successful completion of the exercise, the challenges which bedeviled the exercise should be addressed soon to ensure confidence in the process. The National Chairman of the NPP, Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey told Citi News in an interview that, an early IPAC meeting will adequately inform the party leaders on how to educate their party supporters on what to expect during the December general elections. He said: The meeting is necessary to agree on how we would handle every challenge, then we would go out and educate our people so that when something goes wrong there would not be huge friction or any increase in the political temperature, but it would be dealt with and people would know that steps are being taken to take care of possibilities like that. We need to get the parties involved.
