'I am Particularly Proud Of Kwami Sefa-Kayi'

NEWS-ONE gathered as at press time yesterday that host of Peace FMs Kokrokoo morning show, Kwami Sefa Kayi, would return home today, Friday, from his historic trip to the UK to light and run with the Olympic Torch. Sefa Kayi last Sunday made history when he represented the country and actually lit and ran with the Olympic Torch on the forty-forth day of the London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay. Already, congratulatory messages are pouring in from all over the world to celebrate the ace broadcast journalist and reports say his friends would put together a welcome party for him at a yet-to-be-disclosed venue. One of such congratulatory messages which came from former national treasurer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gifty Aryeh, otherwise called Daavi Ama, described Sefa Kayi as an illustrious son of Ghana worth celebrating. Daavi Ama spoke to NEWS-ONE: I am particularly proud of Sefa and every Ghanaian should. Not just anyone gets that opportunity to lift the Olympic Torch and we should rally behind this broadcaster journalist per excellence and celebrate him because the Torch he went to light represents peace, unity and friendship. Daavi noted further that Sefa Kayis participation at the event should make persons who had questioned his pedigree in recent times to revise their notes.
