Asamoah, Boakye Feature For Juventus In Tim Cup

Ghana duo Kwadwo Asamoah and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom played for Juventus on Saturday in the Tim Cup tournament. Midfielder Asamoah was in the squad which lost their opener 1-0 to Inter Milan as he played alongside Stephan Lichtsteiner, Arturo Vidal, Marrone and De Ceglie. The former Udinese man was denied a goal by Inter defender Jonathan who made a crucial last-gasp intervention to stop Asamoah�s tap in at the back post. The Ghana international maintained his position in the starting line-up as coach Antonio Conte some new faces for the AC Milan match which they won 1-0. The reinforcements included Ghana Under-20 striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom who partnered Vicinic upfront. Teams in the Trofeo TIM play 45-minute matches with three points for a win or, if it is decided on penalties, two for a victory and one for the losing side. Inter Milan won both their matches in the tournament on Saturday evening, beating Juventus 1-0 and the AC Milan 2-1. This was the 12th edition of the Trofeo TIM and Inter have won eight of them.
