Akosua Agyapong Out With Miss Black Is Beautiful Pageant

Ace musician, Akosua Agyapong who has been missing in action for some years now has something new for Ghanaians. She is ready with a pageant and a reality show called Miss Black Is Beautiful which first began in Nigeria last year. Miss Black Is Beautiful according to her is aimed at making African ladies/women feel proud of their true natural beauty. �Most at times, we see our ladies/women bleaching their skins, which end up destroying their skins, with this pageant, ladies between the ages of 18-30 are qualified to participate� Akosua Agyapong said. The mother of six explained that education wouldn�t be considered as a yardstick for selecting the contestants so as to allow any lady/woman who feels to contest, do so. The songstress added that five other countries such as Nigeria, South Africa, and Uganda among others will also join in the competition. Miss Black Is Beautiful will also take into consideration beauty, natural skin among others. Akosua Agyapong promised that she will make sure the prices are delivered to the winner as promised. �I have been a judge on a couple of beauty pageants before and I read stories published about organizers of pageants who were not able to fulfill their promises and as famous as I am, I wouldn�t want to put my credibility on the line.� The show which will be launched second week in August and is expected to have it finals September 20 at the National Theatre will be shown on Metro TV, Vaisat One and Multi TV. Talking about the prices, Akosua Agyapong said the winner will have an official car for use and return it after a year, a business of her choice and will be flown to Nigeria in one of the expensive hotels for a one week holiday.
