Miss Humanity Finals For August 18

The grand finale of the maiden edition of the Miss Humanity pageant is scheduled to come off at the National Theater in Accra on August 18. The pageant seeks to crown one Ghanaian lady as the 2012 �humanitarian queen� with the goal of promoting and raising awareness about humanitarian issues worldwide. Battling it out for the converted title of Miss Humanity Ghana 2012 are Beatrice Eno Yeboah (Alliance Francais), Svetlana Danso (AUCC), Helen Anyewedja Ayerkie (Data Link), Marian Nanorki Darlington (KNUST), Comfort Doe (University of Ghana), Josephine Bediako Oppong ( University of Ghana), Pearl Justine Adzoma (Regent University), Serwaa, Mishasha Essien (Marketing Student) and Louisa Ankowah Antwi (Central University). The winner and first two runner-ups of the pageant will engage in issues relating to child labor, HIV/AIDS discrimination, domestic abuse, hunger and gender exploitation. According to Adjei Annang, CEO of Xclusive Productions, organizers of the pageant, the winner of Miss Humanity International Ghana 2012 will also represent the country at the world finals in Barbados in October 2012; get an official duty car for a year, a modeling contract for a year in Nigeria, beauty products among other prizes. The CEO said hiplife artiste Edem, Chemphe and other stars would perform on the night of the event. The pageant is being organized by Xclusive Productions Ghana Limited in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Children�s Affairs and SFC International of Barbados.
