Hannah Tetteh Wins Constituency Primaries By Landslide

Trades Minister Hannah Tetteh has won the Awutu Senya West constituency primaries of the National Democratic Congress by a landslide beating the incumbent Member of Parliament, David Nana Larbi. Hannah Tetteh was the former MP for that constituency but stepped down in 2004. She polled 271 votes as compared to 41 of the incumbent at an election which was held on Monday. The Trades Minister hails from the constituency and during her time as MP she was a member of the following parliamentary committees: Ranking Member & Minority Spokesperson on Gender and Children, Ranking Member � Judiciary Committee, Member � Committee on Trade Industry & Tourism, Member � Committee on Defence & Interior, Member Deputy � Committee on Finance, Member � Committee on Subsidiary Legislation. She is a legal practitioner by profession and has held several other managerial positions. After the elections she thanked the NDC members of the constituency for reposing such confidence in her and promised to collaborate with them in terms of what they deem necessary as far as development is concerned. Madam Hannah Tetteh also called for a united front as the party heads to the general polls in December and asked all constituents to conduct themselves devoid of acts that could throw the constituency and the country at large into chaos.
