XCLUSIV FOTOS: Old Faces Show Up At �Back In The Days" Concert

Fastest growing events management company Empire Entertainment, last Friday September 21 took Ghanaian music lovers �Back In The Days� inside the Dome at the Accra International Conference Centre where they paraded old Hiplife musicians who have been missing in action for some time now. Over 17 Hiplife artistes who made a huge impact in the 90s with great Hiplife tunes graced the stage to bring back the Hiplife memories. The show started with T-Blaze of �Feeling no ye deep� fame followed by the rhyming rapper Joe Frazier, Ded Buddy (now known as Qwesi), while Ex Doe reunited with Chicago on stage to perform for the first time together after so many years their hit song, �Daavi mede kuku�. Other reunions on the night was Atsu Koliko and Scooby Silla of TH4 Kwages as well as VIP, who performed with ex-band member, Friction on stage and also invited Blakofe the first and only female to manage the group. Sonny Achiba, Dogo, Keteke, Akatakyie, Native Funk Lord (NFL), Abrewa Nana and Kontinhene mount the stage after several years away from the main stage. Rap sofuo Obrafour, Tic Tac and the dancing machine Slim Busterr hit the stage to perform their classic hit songs to the amazement of the crowd while Lord Kenya now a man of God decided to leave the pulpit to perform several of the hit songs he made before turning into a pastor. Another �man of God� Azigizah Junior, who was the biggest DJ and popular rapper in the 90s, was the MC for the night. Producers Zapp Mallet and Hammer of The Last Two received special Lifetime Achievement Awards for their contribution to hiplife over the years. Another thing that brought nostalgic feeling on the evening was the showing of classic hiplife music videos and DJs playing old school music of the 90s. Even though the show could not fill the Dome, it was obvious everybody present enjoyed the back to back Hiplife classics and it brought back some memories to all patrons of the maiden edition of the event.
