Juventus' Giaccherini To Be Fined For Insulting Sulley Muntari
Juventus midfielder Emenuele Giaccherini is facing a hefty fine for insulting Sulley Muntari last season.
The 27-year-old paraded a placard during Juventus open-top bus celebrations of the Serie-A title adjudged to be offensive towards AC Milan and the Ghana international.
The banner sought to mock the controvercial decision which disallowed a clear goal scored by Muntari when both teams engaged each other in a top of the table clash last season.
Giaccherini was found guilty after an Italian FA hearing but pundits say he will escape a ban but will be fined heavily as punishment.
We believe there are full grounds for a referral, a statement read.
During the celebrations that followed the Scudetto win by Juventus, Giaccherini displayed a banner from the bus, the content of which is believed to be offensive to Milan.
The game eventually ended 1-1 which effectively handed the Scudetto to the Bianconeri infuriating the Milan fans in the process.
