Irate fans of Accra Hearts of Oak have called for the sacking of Coach C.K Akunnor. This follows the abysmal performance put up by the 19-time champions in Wednesday's game which cost them their 4th-place position on the league table. The flustered fans who spoke after the game cited several pressing issues which they believed coach Akunnor had failed to address and contributed largely to their crushing defeat. Citing vertically challenged strikers and an inept technical team, the angry and share-holding fans called for a complete overhaul of the team, begining with the technical team. However, though other quarters have raised concerns about the form and performance of Ghana's longest-surviving football team, they insist that Coach Akunnor is not the problem. They claim that there is division in the technical team which is dangerous to the team's spirit. They therefore called for the team's Board of Directors to do something about it else it would cost the team.
