Government Signs Agreement for Cape Coast Stadium Construction

The Ministry of Youth and Sports has signed an agreement with the Chinese government for the construction of a fifteen thousand capacity stadium in Cape Coast. The thirty million dollar project which is expected to begin in February will partly be financed by the Chinese government and will consist of facilities for track and field events, a football field and a basketball court. Signing the agreement the Minister of Youth and Sports Clement Kofi Humado said the complex when completed will enhance the development of the youth in sporting activities. The Counselor of the Chinese Embassy who signed the agreement on behalf of the Chinese government, Gao Wenzhi, expressed the commitment of the Chinese government to the successful completion of the project.
