Police To Question "Let My Vote Count Alliance" Leaders

Peacefmonline.com can confirm that the Madina District Police Command is set to question leading members of the "Let My Vote Count Alliance". The leaders, Sammy Awuku, a Deputy Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party, as well as Ernest Owusu Bempah of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Abu Ramadan of the People's National Convention (PNC) and Charles Owusu of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) are expected to report at the Madina Police in Accra at 10 am, Thursday January 31, 2013 ostensibly to answer questions on some of their activities. LMVC is a multipartisan movement which has lent support to the opposition New Patriotic Party in their petition filed at the Supreme Court challenging the presidential election results and to push for radical reforms of the Electoral Commission. What remains unclear is why the group has been invited but peacefmonline is reliably informed that it has to do with their recent outdoor programmes, particular the organization of the inaugural ceremony of the "Let My Vote Count Alliance" over the weekend at the Taifa Norway Park in the Dome Kwabenya constituency. They are also likely to be queried on what they intend to achieve by forming the group. More soon....
