Prez Mahamas Gov't Is the Biggest Joke In The History of Governance

A Deputy Director of Communications of the National Democratic Party (NDP), Ernest Owusu Bempah, has described the Mahama-led NDC administration as the biggest joke in the annals of the countrys political history for the recent gaffe regarding the change of name of the seat of government. According to him, the current administration seems bent on not only embarrassing the entire nation with their unpardonable and questionable official blunders, but in the eyes of foreign diplomats and other members of the international community. Speaking on Okay fms Ghana Decides program, Owusu Bempah accuse the president of failing to stamp his authority as government appointees fiddle with the official name of the seat of government. President Mahama just sits idly by as everybody does what he or she feels like, he said. Owusu Bempah further stated that this untoward behavior where a government official comes out to double-speak about the change of name of the seat of government and another official offer the excuse that it was a typographical error, can never be replicated in the advanced countries. It is illogical for an individual to keep changing the name of the house they live in,some might rightly think that the owner is even mad; and this is the kind of behavior being exhibited in the country which brings ridicule to the presidency, he said. To him, this is not about party politics but rather about how Ghana might be perceived by the outside world hence needs outright condemnation by all, most especially the media. The seat of government is seen as the symbol of the countrys sovereigntyforeign diplomats come to transact business, thus as the name keeps changing it tells you one thing that the government and its people are not seriousthese foreign dignitaries will perceive us as suchthe Presidential Palace which brings honor to Ghanaians is now being treated as a piece of irrelevance by President Mahama and his governmentit is a disgrace to this nation and the entire NDC government should bow down their heads in shame, Owusu Bempah stated.
