Criminologist, Professor Ken Attefuah has praised the Police for working together with the Military to end the security challenges in Kumasi. He said a Joint Military- Police Task Force is an effective way of dealing with the current security challenges in Kumasi in the Ashanti region. This follows recurrent armed robbery attacks in Kumasi and attacks by some illegal miners on residents of Obuasi. In an interview with Citi News Professor Attefuah indicated that an organized military and police team will be the most effective way of flushing out the criminals. He commended the police for showing a remarkable capacity to cooperate with the military in operations of this nature. According to him, �when the military is invited into this kind of civilian police control situations, it is the regular police service that must remain in control, the military must submit to police high command and the police must lead the operation�.
