In a blistering attack, Yartey claimed that some of the players in the team were included because they had powerful connections to the coach. Tetteh said there is no truth in the accusations from a frustrated player who felt he had to make the team and he couldnt and he went destroying the hand that fed him, while revealing that the player sent some elders to apologise to him. Despite these accusations, Tetteh went on to win the U20 World Cup with the players Yartey felt were not selected on merit.
