Kotoko Coach Apologizes To Angry Supporters

Kumasi Asante Kotoko coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has apologized to angry Kotoko supporters after their exit from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions league last Sunday in Kumasi. Algerian club, JSM Bejaia, eliminated Kumasi Asante Kotoko on a 1-1 goal aggregate in a CAF Champions League match played at the Baba Yara Stadium. The two sides after ending goalless in the first leg in Algeria, the visitors trim past the Porcupine Warriors on the away goal rule in Kumasi. Some supporters have expressed worried and are calling for a shakeup in the team, whiles others want the Chairman of the club to be fired. The former Black Maidens coach in an interview with an Accra-based Happy FM apologized to supporters for the teams inability to progress to the next stage of the CAF champions league after the enormous home support. For now, I dont have much to say, all I want to do now is to appreciate what our fans did. They filled up to the capacity at the stadium so we own them a duty to have given them the results which unfortunately we couldnt. So on behalf of the technical team and the playing body, I want to render an unqualified apology. It was our wish that we wanted to get the team to the next round of the competition but all our wish did not come through. So I hope they (the supporters) will continue to support us to revert our attention to the local league and concentrate on the knockout. ., he said.
