Reshuffle Hits NSA

The National Sports Authority (NSA) has been hit by a massive reshuffle at the secretariat of 20 sports associations under it, with most of the General Secretaries re-assigned. Information gathered by the GNA Sports reveals that, the appointment which takes effect from May 5, 2013, would see Bawa Fuseini, General Secretary of the Ghana Athletics Association (GAA) swapping positions with Vivian Dougblor of the Ghana Hockey Association (GHA). Dominic Kamkam, maintains his position as the General Secretary of the Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation (GABF), whilst Ignatius Elletey has been relieved of his appointment as the General Secretary of the Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG), but maintains his role at the Disable Sports Association of Ghana and Special Olympic as the General Secretary. According to the information, the change which was described as a normal routine at the NSA, would see Rafik Arthur taking over as the General Secretary of the Ghana Basketball Association (GBA) and Sports For All, whilst Christina Dodoo has been moved from the Ghana Handball Association (GHA) to Baseball and Softball Association, with Francis Asare maintaining his position as the General Secretary of the Ghana Cricket Association (GCA). Daniel Sarpei has been moved from the Ghana Basketball Association (GBA) to the Ghana Cycling Association (GCA) and Dragon Boat Association, whilst Patrick Cofie-Anyidoho maintains his position as the General Secretary of the Ghana Karate-Do Association (GKA), with additional responsibility at the secretariat of the Ghana Shooting Association (GSA) but has been relieved of his position at the Ghana Judo Association (GJA). R.O. Lamptey has been moved from Rowing and Canoeing Association and the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA), to the Ghana Kickboxing Association (GKA) and Judo Association as the General Secretary with Hussein Addy taking charge of Rowing and Canoeing and Ghana Weightlifting Association (GWA). Philipina Frimpong has been appointed as the General Secretary of the Ghana Tennis Association (GTA) and Ghana Golf Association (GGA), whilst Kenaz Mensah-Bortey remains at the Ghana Rugby Association (GRA) as Christiana Ashley takes up additional responsibility at the Ghana Volleyball Association (GVA) and maintained her position at the Ghana Chess Association (GCA). William Kyei, has been maintained as the General Secretary of the Ghana Swimming Association (GSA) with additional responsibility at the Badminton Association of Ghana (BAG) and Ghana Fencing Association (GFA). At the Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA), Gifty Fianu Horsu would remain the General Secretary, with a new appointment at the Ghana Scrabble Association (GSA) as the General Secretary, whilst Patrick Johnson takes up an appointment as the General Secretary of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) in addition to his initial role at the Ghana Taekwondo Association. Nasiru Yakubu would remain the General Secretary of the Ghana Handball Association (GHA) with the same role at the Ghana Bodybuidling Association (GBA), as Agnes Abefe joins Women in Sports Association of Ghana (WOSPAG) and Ghana Netball Association (GNA) as the General Secretary. James Armah completes the list as the General Secretary of the Ghana Wrestling Association and Beach Sports Association.
