Tema Youth Beat Amidaus To Win Derby But Remain In Danger Zone

Tema Youth recorded a comprehensive 3-0 win over Amidaus Professionals in the Tema derby in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday. Ghana U20 striker Francis Narh scored from the spot as early as the 18th minute before defender Kenneth Owusu directed a powerful header in from a free-kick just before the hour mark. Midfielder James Akaminko avoided any possible comeback from the debutants by scoring from an audacious effort 16 minutes before time. Amidaus were able to host their city-rivals to a 0-0 draw in the corresponding fixture Amidaus coach Lokko was forced to replace Black Satellites goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi who picked a serious injury and was rushed to hospital. His place was taken by Evans Quansah. Youth made their intentions clear from the start and went firing on all cylinders. Amidaus� challenge mainly came from their midfield where Selasi Adjei and Yahaya Mohammed were neutralised by Odjer and his colleagues in midfield. After falling behind, Amidaus failed to pick up the pieces and succumbed to their neighbours. Tema Youth are still in the bottom three; four points away from safety.
