NDC Lost Because Ghanaians Are Not Satisfied With Their Performance - Nana Akomea

Communications Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akomea told Kwami Sefa-Kayi during Kokrokoo Morning show that, the NDC lost the Kunbungu by-election because Ghanaians are disappointed in them. According to him, when one compares the results the NDC had in 2008 to that of 2013, it is an indication that Ghanaians are not happy with the current administration and that is why they lost the seat and that is the only lesson in the Kumbungu election. NDC had 18285 votes in 2008, this year it reduced 11896; this means they lost 6389 votes. Where did the votes go to? Kumbungu is not a swinging constituency; it is a strong hold of the NDC since 1992; no party has taken it from them. It is judgement on the current government performance since January 2013, he mentioned. The Kumbungu seat is considered as one of the strong holds of the NDC, however, during the by-election, the NDC candidate lost to the Convention People Partys candidate; Amadu Moses Yahaya.
