CPP Victory A 'Morale Booster' - Former Regional Chairman

A former Ashanti Regional Chairman of the CPP, Samuel Danso, says the victory of the party in the Kumbungu by-election serves as a morale booster to the party. According to him, for the party to snatch the seat from the incumbent NDC clearly demonstrates the popularity of the CPP candidate as well as the hard work put in by the entire party members, which must be sustained for future elections. Speaking to Radio Ghana in Kumasi, Mr. Danso said the victory reflects the love, faith and confidence the people have in the CPP which they believe can help restore hope in the people in the constituency. He therefore called on the leadership to appoint a special committee to review and reinvigorate the party structures as a step to build a winsome party. Mr. Danso said it is time members of the party put behind them self-centeredness, ego and parochialism as parties are built on the spirit of unison and sacrifice. The Former Regional Chairman is of the hope that all who lost interest in the party following its abysmal performance in the December Elections, to relent and change their stand and rally behind the party to reorganize for future elections.
