Kevin-Prince Boateng Is Likely To Play Ghana-Zambia World Cup Qualifier

The National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and management member of the Black Stars, Yaw Boateng Gyan who has been very instrumental in dialogues to bring back Ghanaian international, Kevin-Prince Boateng to join the Black Stars has hinted on his return sooner than expected. According him, private meetings have been held with the AC Milan star at his residence in Milan with similar consultations with the Boateng family both home and aboard to see his come back into reality. Yaw Boateng Gyan who was stunned to have heard the comeback of Kevin-Prince Boateng being carried by the media since meetings was held in private places has promised the return of the former German Youth International. �We were talking to him (KP Boateng) behind the scenes so that it will surprise Ghanaians, but I am shocked the news is all over the place. We are still talking to him and sooner than expected he will be back,� he said on Peace FM. Speaking to Peace FM on the �Peace Power Sports� programme, Yaw Boateng Gyan confirmed that, the former Black Stars player would have been available for selection for Ghana�s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Sudan and Lesotho had it not been a knee injury he is battling. �It will not be long for him to join the team�� he said. He however lauded Black Stars and AC Milan mid-fielder Sulley Muntari for his pivotal role to ensuring the comeback of Kevin-Prince Boateng. Yaw Boateng Gyan debunked assertions that the yet to arrive player has requested from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) the inclusion of his personal physiotherapy in camp. �Kevin-Prince Boateng has not requested for anything during our discussions so I will be much surprised if he does that when he returns,� he said. He advised football fanatics to welcome Kevin-Prince Boateng�s return and stop castigating him on social networks and in the media since that might trigger matters. Kevin-Prince Boateng�s last match for the Black Stars was in early 2011, in a 2012 African Nations Cup qualifier against Congo Brazzaville in Kumasi. Subsequently, he retired from the National team with health issues as stated in his resignation letter to the GFA.
