OFFICIAL: Kevin-Prince Boateng Returns

Ghana Football Association president Kwesi Nyantakyi has confirmed Kevin-Prince Boatengs return to the Black Stars. Early this week, the former Germany youth international is reported to have ended his self-imposed exile and ready for international football. A Black Stars management committee member and politician Yaw Boateng Djan is said to have led the discussions on his return. Boateng quit the Black Stars in September 2011 claiming playing for club and country was having a toll on his health. KP Boateng had confirmed to the coach and my good self that he was coming back to play, Nyantakyi said on SuperSports Soccer Africa programme on Thursday night. Let me confirm that before Kwesi Appiah selected his team for the Sudan game (in Kumasi) Kevin had told the coach and me that he was available for that game. Unfortunately, a week before that game, he picked up an injury during training with AC Milan but he told us that he would participate in the teams games in June. Boateng, a 2010 FIFA World Cup star, will be available for selection in September this year when the team play Zambia at home in a final 2014 World Cup qualifier.
