Ruth Williams, a former contestant of TV3′s singing reality competition, Mentor one has made a chilling confession that she had been raped twice and abused several times by the men in her life young life. A sober-sounding Ruth, during the telecast of the auditions of the Glo X Factor music reality show where she had gone to audition told viewers: �I was rapped at 17, then rapped again, I also suffered several abuse from men from relationship to relationship.� Ruth further revealed that she expresses that pain in her through the music she does. �I see music as my joy� that is where my happiness comes from and it�s very important for me to do music.� At the main audition itself, the talented 30-year-old singer managed to impress the panel with her rendition of �That�s What Friends Are For� �by Dionne Warwick and Friends. She received fair comments from all three panelists with three �yes� sending her automatically into the X Factor boot camp. One of the Judges, Ghana�s Reggie Rockstone, however, advised her to do something about her appearance. He said Ruth lacks stage presence even though there is no doubt about her singing talent. Ruth, after taking part in the Mentor reality show, disappeared into thin air despite has enormous talent. She once attributed her challenges to demands from music producers and managers for intimate relationships before they assist female singers in their quest to hit the limelight.
