Nigeria Angry Over Juliet Ibrahim's Comments

Ghanaian actress Juliet Ibrahim is caught in the middle of rising disquiet among showbiz followers in Nigeria following comments she passed on attempts to raize funds for a kidney transplant for ailing producer, singer and song writer OJB Jezreel. Vanguard Nigeria reports that OJB, who has been diagnosed with kidney failure has made a passionate appeal to the general public to help him raise $100,000 needed for a kidney transplant. However Juliet Ibrahim believes the $100,000 tag is too high for the transplant because the same service could be procured at half the lot and has subsequently suggested to handlers of the ailing OJB to reach out to the right people and stop harassing celebrities for funds. The suggestion which she posted on her Instagram page, was emphatic that a kidney transplant should cost no more than $50,000. Loads of insults and name-calling have trailed the comment since its publication, with some suggesting she should keep her dough if she does not want to dish out any support. Meanwhile, Vanguard says a good number of celebrities continue to reach out to the ailing singer, the latest being pop twins PSquare and their elder brother Jude Engees Okoye who have donated five million naira. Also Kukere master Iyanya and his manager Ubi Franklin have donated 1 million naira. Don Jazzy, Mercy Johnson and Rugged Man have already made donations to OJB.
