What Adina Thembi Ndamse expected when she won the top prize of the Stars Of The Future music talent show in 2008 was that it would give her a breakthrough to her music career. Although she released a couple of singles and featured on Riche�s London song, Adina regrets that her expectation has not been met. �I have been moving from one management to another. I was with E.K.B records for two years but felt I wasn�t getting the push I needed so I moved on to Skillion Records. I spent one year with Skillion and moved away because they couldn�t also push me up there�, the 23-year-old songbird told Showbiz last week. �At a point in time, I thought I was in a wrong profession so I stopped music and went back to school to pursue an Environment and Development course at Central University. My spirit took a dive whenever I watched musicians I can sing better than make it and I ask myself where I went wrong. But thank God I have dealt with all the setbacks and I am ready for Ghanaians this 2013.� Adina said. Adina who is now being managed by Kwame Faakye of Live Fm said that she has improved her stage performance and is currently in the studio working with D.Cryme and Cwesi Oteng. According to the songstress, nothing is going to stop her anymore from what she loves doing. �I am back into full time music and ready to rub shoulders with the top notch. Nothing is going to stop me this time I have dealt with the setbacks and looking to the future�. Adina who had the opportunity to perform at KOD fashion show and Miss Malaika claims the road is clear for her with the response she is getting from her latest song, Hamba Kahle which was released three weeks ago. �Just three weeks when I released Hamba Kahle, the response I am getting is marvelous and it is a good sign that Ghanaians really love the kind of songs I do and I am more than willing to give them more. To my many fans who kept encouraging me when my songs were not doing well, I say thank you very much� Adina happily said. Asked what she is doing apart from music, Adina said she is the brand ambassador for afro.mod.trends, a high-end fashion label that focuses on ready-to-wear and bespoke outfits but she is currently planning to pursue her Masters. Born in Liberia but raised in Ghana, Adina said her inspiration for writing her music comes from her late father who she never saw before he passed away. �Although I saw photographs of my dad, my mum had always told me my dad said I would be a great musician and that has always been my motivation. I want my father�s wish to come true and I will do anything for that� she said.
