Out-of-jail NDC Communicator, Stephen Atubiga appears to have learnt his lesson following his incarceration. What Peacefmonline can authoritatively confirm is that even though he spent only three days in prison, the experience will continue to leave an indelible imprint on his life. On Monday, five days after his release from prison, he claims his life may be endangered as a result of his predicament. Steven Atubiga disclosed that he does not feel safe following his sojourn in jail. He fears he may be hurt or shot by unknown assailants. �Am I safe? Can�t somebody just shoot Atubiga and hurt him? So, then you start thinking about safety, then you start thinking about your family,� he said. He therefore prays Ghanaians give him �another chance� since he is not �a violent person�. �It�s unfortunate that Atugubah sent Atubiga to jail, but Atubiga can be a better person if they give him a second chance,� he said. Speaking on Radio Gold�s newspaper review, he recounted some of his three-day experiences during his 3-day stay in prison. According to him, since his release, it has been his heartmost desire to assist prison inmates financially, adding that he will use proceeds from his yet-to-be launched foundation to change the lives of prisoners in the nation. �The reason is they voted. Whether they were murderers, they were rapist in that prison; they voted. So, I want the Better Ghana, Freedom and Justice to reach all prisoners.� Though he does not wish to go back to prison, he however wants to �take care of them (his inmates) till they�re out of there.� �They were all like brothers to me. I really miss them. That�s why I want to get the polytank and change their lives. I really miss them. That day, if you ask the prison officers, all the money that I had in my pocket; I gave it away�� Steven Atubiga was summoned by the Supreme Court for contempt of court following some comments he made on radio over the verdict of the election petition. He is said to have made a bluff about the court ruling averring that the governing National Democratic Congress will not accept an overturn of the 2012 Presidential elections. He was sentenced to three days in jail together with the Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight, Ken Kuranchie, who was also given a 10-day sentence.
