Irate NDC Youth Protest Prez Mahamas Nomination Of Former MP As DCE

Some irate youth believed to be supporters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Tuesday went berserk in Wulensi in the Nanumba South District in the Northern Region, protesting President John Dramani Mahamas re-nomination of Alhaji Seidu Amidu as District Chief Executive. Our regional correspondent reported on 7GMT on Tuesday that the youth vandalized a vehicle with registration number, GT 1514 T, belonging to the NDC. The incident was confirmed by NDCs chairman for the District, Alhaji Issifu Alhassan, Zack Kadiri said. No arrests have been made so far, he added. Alhaji Amidu is among six Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) nominated by President Mahama on Tuesday. He was the Member of Parliament for the Wulensi Constituency from 1993 to 1996.
