If I Were Mahatmas Guardian I Would Force Him To Play In Europe David Duncan

Accra Hearts of Oak head coach David Duncan has categorically stated that he would have advised Mahatma Otoo to seek a new challenge with another club in Europe after his impressive performance with Hearts of Oak over the past seasons. Mahatma Otoo has distinguished himself to be a prolific striker in the Glo Premier League for some seasons now and has won for himself laurels including the goal King in the just ended Glo league. The 21-year old striker scored 20 goals last season for Accra Hearts of Oak to help them place 5th on the league table after the team struggled to escape relegation. But speaking with PEACE POWER SPORTS on PEACE FM, head coach David Duncan believes it is time for Mahatma Otoo to ply his trade elsewhere. I think the opportunity is right for Mahatma Otoo to move on. Sometime as a coach you dont only have to look at your interest. If I were Mahatma Otoos father, if I were his brother, if I were his guardian or relation, I think that the time is right for him to move on and seek a new challenge. How many years has he been playing for Accra hearts of Oak? He questioned. To him, Mahatma Otoo has achieved a lot for Hearts of Oak; he has won the promising player, he has won the goal King, and he (Mahatma Otoo) has been called into the national team, he has also won the SWAG footballer of the year. He needs another level of challenge and in Ghana, there is no team here. He has played with everybody on the local scene and needs to meet differences faces in his footballing career. It has to be Europe and nowhere else, he stressed.
