Mills Family Still Demands Answer To His Death

The family members of the late President, Professor John Evans Fiifi Attah Mills, led by Paul Attah Ackom of Odumna family are fuming with rage because they still do not know the cause of death of the late President. The family head and spokesperson, Paul Attah Ackom, is calling on the government led by John Dramani Mahama to come clean on the issue which has been an incubus to the family members, well-wishers and friends of the late president. One year on after the death of our brother, we are still in great pain. We dont know what killed our brother, Abusuapanin Attah Ackom said. Even if a white mans dog dies, he finds the cause of death; how much more a whole President of Ghana and Commander-In-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, he said in an exclusive interview with The Independent. He is also challenging President Mahama to release the Coroners inquest otherwise they will not be satisfied. Blood from Mills ears Even though information is rife about the cause of the late Presidents demise, Abusuapanin is not satisfied with mild stroke and cancer as the causes of Mills death. He believes there is more to it. Posterity will judge us if we dont find the cause of death of the late President, he opined. On August 10, while filing past the State House, I saw blood oozing from the left ear of the late President and quickly drew the attention of the guards on duty who quickly asked the family members to go out and they quickly cleared the mess, he disclosed. No projects yet! In a related development, Abusuapanin Paul Attah Ackom said the NDC government has failed to make good, its promise of developing the Otuam area (Mills hometown). The promise included erecting a mausoleum and constructing the road that leads to Otuam. He also explained that all the heads of States who died were all buried in their hometowns and questioned why the government was refusing to bury the late president at Otuam. Kwame Nkrumah was buried at Nkroful (his hometown) and so was Busia, but why not Mills? he asked, adding that Mills must be buried at Otuam to serve as a tourist attraction to generate some source of income for us. As Ghana marks one year after the demise of Prof. Mills, it is expected that the government would meet the family to sort out left-over issues.
