Another Ghana Gospel Music Awards Coming

JAKA Events, organisers of the Ghana Gospel Music Awards (GGMA) have announced that plans are far advanced for the 2013 edition to come off in the last quarter of the year. The maiden edition was held last year at the Accra International Conference Centre. There were splendid performances from artistes like No Tribe, Nicholas Omane Acheampong, Gifty Osei, Bernice Ansah, Cwesi Oteng and Daughters of Glorious Jesus. Award winners were presented with their prizes at a private reception at Movenpick Hotel. They included Cwesi Oteng, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Rev. Mary Ghansah, Nana Yaw Asare, Prof Kofi Abraham, Herty Bongreat and Mama Esther. The GGMAs was organised with its aim to positively influence and improve the gospel music industry. In an interview with the public relations director of Jaka Events, Cecil Quartey, he entreated all gospel music lovers to look forward to a good awards ceremony this year. �It�s going to be bigger and more rewarding for the musicians, so the industry can improve. Shortlisting has already begun and nominations are ongoing to reward the musicians who have entertained and blessed us with their music over the years, � Quartey said. He congratulated Imajin Advertising and Adom FM for pulling off two big gospel shows this year.
