Ade Coker Debunks Claims That NDC Chairman Wants Power Sharing If

Greater Accra Chairman of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Joseph Ade Coker has demystified allegations that, the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Kwabena Adjei has called for power-sharing if the final verdict of the 2012 Election Petition did not favour them. Dr. Kwabena Adjei who graced the 21st anniversary celebration of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at the partys headquarters in Accra on August 22, 2013 was purportedly to have been taken out of context when he said, let us share. The NDC national chair was attributing to the tense situation in the country to the winner-takes-all political environment and said from now onwards let us share. This country belongs to all of us. Ade Coker in a sharp response on Adom FM stated that, Dr. Kwabena Adjeis Lets us share utterances was not in a context that the NDC fears to lose the petition case and is in dialogue to be considered in the NPP government to steer the affairs of the nation if they emerged winners of the petition case. Nonetheless, he believes even if the NDC doubt the final judgement of the petition case, it will be appropriate for the country as well as the opposition party to recognize potential qualities from the opposing side for consideration in government. When Obama (US President) became the president, he did maintain some cabinet members of the Bush administration including the defense secretary of the US. He (Prez Obama) did not share power with the Republicans; he maintained them in his government. We must get this clear that Dr. Kwabena Adjei, my bossunder no circumstances on the platform of the NPP anniversary did he say there should be power sharing. That is inclusiveness not power sharing as claimed, he noted.
