SC Ruling Incurs Wrath Of MPVows To Mete Out Instant Justice On Perpetrators Of Electoral Malpractice

New Patriotic Party Member of Parliament for Bosomtwe constituency, Hon. Simon Osei Mensah has registered his displeasure with Thursdays Supreme Court ruling, which saw John Mahama being declared a validly elected President of the fourth Republic of Ghana. Addressing his concerns on Oman FM, the NPP MP was of a strong view that the court ruling will spell doom for the nation in the future. Per his projections, the court ruling may pave way for certain unfortunate incidents to occur in future elections. The NPP MP has therefore vow not to spare anyone who will commit a blunder or any form of irregularity during the elections in 2016. Though several political figures and civil societies have warned electorates not to mete out corporal punishments on persons caught in any electoral malpractices, Hon. Osei Mensah, without mincing words on the media platform, stressed should any Presiding Officer refuse to sign the electoral sheets in the elections, we will beat and kill you thereIf I stand for elections and I recognize that youre contravening the law, either you stop and do the right thing or we do what we can do. When Im going to vote, Im not going to joke. If you tempt us, we will kill youI wont allow you to go scot free. Thats the danger for the nation. This ruling is very dangerous, he added. He further stated quite stridently that there are several consequences with the court ruling, which are negative.
