Akufo Addo Stands Tall Among African Politicians - Allotey Jacobs

Central Regional communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has asked Ghanaians to celebrate 2012 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo for accepting defeat following the final ruling of the Supreme Court. According to him, Nana Akufo Addo has been vindicated with his own reaction after the ruling; he has proven that he is not as violent as his critics sees him to be. We will need to celebrate Nana Akufo Addo especially for one person we have tagged as a man who believes in violence and war, who thinks he is above the law and so on; accepting the final ruling and not advising his followers to take to the streets, is commendable. He has contributed to the peaceful atmosphere we are experiencing. For one to face the cameras and accept defeat is a difficult thing to do but he did it. He did so well and God be with him he told Kwami Sefa-Kayi in a panel discussion on Kokrokoo. He said the fact that Nana Akufo Addo also went further to call President John Dramani Mahama, he stands tall among African politicians; especially African democrats Commenting on the ruling, Allotey Jacobs said: The throwing out of the case should tell us that elections are won at the polling stations and that we should regard our polling agents and place them on a certain pedestal. We dont have to take elections for a joke
