How Can SC Judges Completely Dismiss Petitioners Case Yet Call For Electoral Reforms?

Former NPP Chairman for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency, Michael Omari Wadie, is saddened by some of the reasons adduced for dismissing the case of the Petitioners by the Judges in the Election Petition suit. Speaking on Okay FM, Omari Wadie insists there is no more truth in the country as falsehood now rules. According to him, the admissions which were made by the Chairman of the Electoral Commission (EC), Dr. Kwadwo Afari Gyan that over-voting and quite a significant number of irregularities occurred during the 2012 election were glossed over in the ruling by 5 of the nine-member panel of judges who dismissed the case of the petitioners. Omari Wadie found it strange that the same judges could propose electoral reforms while in the same breath completely dismissed the petitioners case. He was of the firm belief that the ruling will eventually scare away investors away because they will lack confidence in the countrys judicial system. investors will fear for their businesses if any issue crop up regarding their transactionsinvestors will not want to come to Ghana if their interests cannot be protected by the courts of the land, he added. He further opined that the dismissal of evidence on the face of the pink sheets by the Supreme Court judges has given the EC the impetus to do whatever it deems fit in subsequent elections.
