NPP UK Branch Storm Ghana After Supreme Court Verdict

As part of our efforts to bridge the gap between our international branches, the National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party in collaboration with the NPP Youth Wing - UK Branch, have held series of meetings and programmes. Upon his recent visit to Ghana, Godwin A. Gyamfi, the NPP Youth Organizer � UK Branch paid a courtesy call on the National Youth Organizer Mr. Emmanuel Attafuah-Danso, where he briefed the latter on the various activities the UK-Branch has undertaken. On his part, the National Youth Organizer took him through a number of scheduled programmes and projects by the National Youth Wing. They pledged their commitment to the partnership and to continue sharing ideas on new trends in their effort to advance the interests of the Youth in the Party. The UK-Branch Youth Organizer, on behalf of his Branch reiterated their readiness to offer logistical and other support to the National Youth Wing. The UK-Branch Youth Organizer was also part of the delegation that met the Police High Command in honour of the invitation by the Inspector General of Police. Other members of the Youth Wing delegation included Miss Helen Adjornyo, the Deputy National Youth Organizer, Nana Owusu Fodjour, the Greater Accra Regional Youth Organizer and Mr. Frank Asiedu-Bekoe, the Special Aid to the General Secretary. At the meeting, they deliberated upon the need to sensitize the Youth on peace ahead of the Supreme Court declaration of the verdict and the need for the Police to be professional, fair and firm in the discharge of their duties. There was also a visit to the Agbogbloshie Market where the two interacted with the Youth in the Informal Sector. The TESCON Branch of Pentecost University was also visited on the familiarization tour. Discussions between the two outfits centered on the welfare of the Party�s Youth and the need for the rank and file to close their ranks and unite for a common course. The National Youth Organizer, Emmanuel Attafuah-Danso admonished the Youth to express their views in a manner that will not be divisive but be guided by the constitution of the Party. He bemoaned some comments in the print and electronic media coming from Youth Activist of the Party after the Supreme Court ruling and urge all to remain calm in the interest of unity in the Party. He gave the assurance that the Youth Wing is poised to work tirelessly to put the Party on a sound and solid political map of this Country. The Youth Organizer therefore calls for the Youth to embrace the principle of collective responsibility and put their energies at the disposal of the Party for us to work together to win power to help liberate the people of this Country. Both Youth Leaders commended Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for his contribution to Rule of Law, Justice and Democracy. They also praised him for his sterling leadership qualities and his outstanding contribution to the development of the Youth Wing and the Party as a whole.
