Ryan Wins Vodafone ICONS Street Edition

The Vodafone ICONS street edition over the weekend crowned Ryan as the winner after beating three other contestants to win the ultimate prize. He took home a brand new KIA sportage, GHC 50,000 and a recording contract with Universal Music. Before the winner was announced, the four contestants namely Budda, Marion, Kelvin and Ryan treated the audience at the auditorium of the National Theatre to good music, showcasing why they were among the top four. The contestants performed two songs each but it was Budda, who stole the show, as the fans cheered him over his spectacular performance. At the end of the first session, the fans waited anxiously to hear the names of the two contestants who would be making it to the finals, until Benny Blanco; the Master of Ceremony announced the eviction of Budda and Marion, for having the least votes. The teeming fans and the Judges on the show namely, Appiatus, Gina West and Miss Naa, all expressed their disappointment over the eviction of Budda, including Kwao Kesse, a hip life musician, who is a brother to Budda After qualifying for the finals, Ryan and Kelvin performed their original singles and they brought back joy to the auditorium of the National Theatre after the evictions of the two favourites, with good performances. It was Ryan, who eventually got crowned as the winner of the reality show and he promised to release his album soon. Ms Uche Ofodile, Chief Marketing Officer at Vodafone Ghana expressed joy for the success of the reality show and promised to support Ryan to become the star he wants to be. There were guest performances by Tee flow and one of Ghana�s favourite rapper, Sarkodie.
