The MP for Ekumfi, Abeiku Crentsil has appealed to the people to stay calm after a police intervention in a peaceful demonstration ended with some of the people being injured. In an interview with Radio Ghana shortly before leaving Accra for the area, he described the situation as unfortunate. He said though the road has been given out for contract, checks with the contractor earlier indicated that financial challenges had been the reason for the stalled project. He told Radio Ghana�s Augustus Acquaye that his people are very upset with the actions of the police.
