Mr. Alex Mould has been appointed as the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC). His appointment takes off with immediate effect. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Mould was the Chief Executive of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA). His predecessor Nana Boakye Asafu Adjaye has been asked to proceed on leave with immediate effect. Citi Business News sources at the Energy Ministry indicates that Nana Boakye Asafu Adjaye has been asked to return to the Ministry of Energy for reassignment after his accumulated leave ends in January 2014. A new Chief Executive for the NPA is expected to be announced soon.
