Mantrac Ghana, the Authorized Caterpillar Dealer in Ghana, will for the first time set a day aside to host operators in the quarry industry to an event dubbed �Mantrac Quarry Day�. The day, slated for Thursday September 26, will provide the opportunity to educate customers in the quarry industry about Mantrac�s capacity to enhance efficiency in the quarry operations; improve the quality of end products and lower customers� cost per ton. The theme for the event, �Lower cost per Ton- All Day, Every Day�, will afford the players in the Ghana Quarry business to learn how to improve and benefit from expert consultation and on site demonstration, Mr Daniel Pabby, Strategic Planning and Marketing Manager for Mantrac Ghana, said in a statement to Ghana News Agency on Saturday. It said there would be a presentation of the most complete quarry machine product line and work tool line-up available on the market, after sales support and service capabilities and tailored financing solutions. The statement said about 80 customers from the quarry and aggregate market across the country are expected to participate in this year�s event which will be held at the Golden Equity Quarry and Mansco Stone Quarry sites, off Accra- Nsawam road. It said the aim of event is to provide customers best practices and expert consultation from Caterpillar in the quarry business to improve the construction industry. The statement said the event is an innovation in the quarry industry since it is the first time a leading equipment supplier is bringing together the manufacturer of Caterpillar, the distributor and the quarry customer under one umbrella to deliberate on improving production. The event would also allow customers to witness live quarry site demonstration. It said there will be different operating practices in site preparation, reclaiming, ripping, loading and hauling while keeping production and operating costs at an efficient level, including fuel consumption. Mantrac, the statement said, expects this event to raise standards in the quarry business with the support of Caterpillar equipment in order to improve output for the construction market in Ghana. It said for over 75 years Mantrac Ghana, which is part of the Mantrac Group, has supplied and supported Ghana�s construction, mining, material handling and power system sectors with Cat� brand.
