Samuel Awuku, who until recently was the Deputy Communication Director of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed that he will be contesting for the position of the National Youth Organiser of the party. In a couple of months, NPP will go to the polls to elect its Executives to steer the affairs of the party in a quest to recapture power in 2016. However, before the door will be opened for candidates to file their application, several names have popped up; eyeing various positions in the party. A few days ago, a group stormed the Assemblies of God Church, Lapaz, in Accra, where Sammy Awuku fellowships, to persuade him to contest the position of the National Youth Organizer. Others also flooded his facebook page and his mobile phone with lots of messages urging him to contest for that position. On Tuesday�s edition of Peace FM�s Morning Show �Kokrokoo� Sammy Awuku stated categorically that upon serious consideration, he has decided to contest for the position of National Youth Organiser. �When the time comes, I will contest to help in pushing the party forward� he indicated.
