The Economy Is Strong Only In Prez Mahamas OfficeCertainly Not What Ghanaians Are Experiencing

The economy which President John Mahama described as stronger and sturdier at a lecture at the Colombia University in the United States, has angered Former NPP Constituency Chairman for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Omari Wadie who says the economy the President described was perhaps related to the one at the Flag Staff House. At a lecture at the Columbia University in the United States, President Mahama said: A few years ago, Ghana, my country, was among one of the most economically challenged on the continent. In the last couple of years, Ghana has posted some of the highest GDP growth rates in the world, and remains one of the worlds fifteen fastest growing economies. He said Ghanas economic growth is well situated within a holistic Continental economic growth in the past few years. But commenting on this statement on Okay Fm, Omari Wadie averred that President Mahama is talking about the economy which is in his residence and is yet to talk about the economy which all Ghanaians are experiencing now. .the President was talking about the E dey bee K3K3 and create, loot and share syndrome in his office, he posited. He wondered how a countrys economy can be said to strong, when taxi drivers are agitating over the hardship the NDC government has subjected them to; reiterating that the same stronger and sturdier economy has not ensure payment of salaries of young nurses at the Korle-Bu hospital for the past 21 months. .President Mahama said the economy is strong yet many qualified children cannot have access to the universities due to limited vacanciesand because the tertiary institutions dont want to overburden its facilities and infrastructure, he said. He sarcastically added that there is no doubt that the economy at President Mahamas office is doing better because it is the only place where he has been given free guinea fowls and chickens for breakfast.
