Corruption In Ghana Is Like "General Mosquito"

Thousands of supporters of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) and other groups who took to some principal streets of Accra to protest against corruption in the country chant that they can't trust the Mahama-led administration to fight the canker. The youth who dominated the demonstration were seen clad in red and holding out placards some of with descriptions which reads Corrupt government must stop, Sack corrupt ministers in government, Abuse of power is too much, and Kill corruption, not Ghanaians. Speaking to Peacefmonline.com, the National Youth Coordinator of the PPP, Divine Nkrumah described corruption in the Mahama-led administration as General Mosquito which aim is to infect negatively on the poor tax payer. Divine Nkrumah noted that Ghana has lost a whooping sum to corruption this year. Adding that, Ghana Youth Employment and Entrepreneurial Development Agency (GYEEDA) must also be properly accounted for because he believes some walloping loss is been hidden in the GYEEDA report He however called on Ghanaians to strike hard to slay corruption by clapping their hands to kill corruption in this country like mosquito. The corruption in Ghana is like General Mosquito, thus, when it enters your room, it will bite, infect and probably kill you. That is what corruption is doing to the development and the economy of Ghana now under the Mahama-led administration. We must kill it now, he added.
