Emmanuel Baffour Set For Ghana Return To Relaunch Ailing Career

The Sundowns reject and former Ghana Premier League top scorer is ready to head back home to start all over again. Former Mamelodi Sundowns striker Emmanuel Baffour is still in South Africa without a club after parting ways with the Chloorkop-based outfit. The Ghanaian has been looking for a new club following his unsuccessful stay with the Brazilians due to a lack of game time. The 24-year-old hinted the Siya Crew that he has thought about returning to Ghana to resurrect his career, after a disappointing season in the PSL during the 2012-13 campaign where he played only two games. I am just finalising some things here and maybe I will go back home afterwards. I will get a club. I can tell you that when I go back to my country and start playing people will see that I am a very good player. I am praying that I will be in the national team when I start playing in Ghana, he emphasised. The striker made one start and two substitute appearances in all competitions during the season he spent with Sundowns. He was the top goal scorer with 21 goals for New Edubiase in the Ghana Premier League before his move to Sundowns at the end of the 2011-12 term. Baffour had an opportunity to sign for Antalyaspor in Turkey before he came to the PSL but his agent rejected that offer. The striker who also honed his talent at Liberty Professionals and Tema Youth is hoping for a chance to start all over again and work on his dream of representing his country.
