Gyan, Muntari, Essien & 16 Others Report For Egypt Clash

The Black Stars held their first training session on Tuesday afternoon with 19 players and six more are expected later in the day. Ghana have 19 players in camp at the moment for the crucial clash against Egypt. Coach Kwesi Appiah held his first training session with his men on Tuesday and six others are expected to join later in the week. Those in camp are captain Asamoah Gyan, goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, Daniel Opare, Jerry Akaminko, Rashid Sumaila, Mohammed Awal, Samuel Inkoom, Edwin Gyimah, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu, Jordan Ayew and Albert Adomah. Others are Michael Essien, Emmanuel Frimpong, Abdul Majeed Waris, Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah and Andre Ayew. The players were put through their paces as training was watched by officials of the Ghana Football Association, managers of the national team as well as the media. Ghana will host Egypt in the first leg on October 15 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi with the return leg in Cairo on November 19. The aggregate winner qualifies for next year's finals in Brazil.
